Oh yeah!

Hello stranger! As you can see, I am super at this blogging stuff!!!

Let's see...since the last post:
After coming to terms with the fact that a high risk pregnancy was well under way, we decided to limit the amount of stress in life and took our house off the market. We want to make sure we have a home when the baby comes! I was soooo relieved when we made the decision and neither one of us has looked back since! We are still planning to sell in the next year, but for now we're taking one day at a time.

I am now 24 weeks pregnant and in the words of Dr. Hwang, "We're lookin at a different ball game this time!" Everything has been going along very smoothly and the baby is growing and thriving! I take tons of vitamins and still do a daily shot. I tend to throw up about once a week and have to pee ALLLL THE TIME!!! Other than that, we are doing great! :) The Dr's don't want us to go full term so we'll deliever by 37 weeks (end of Oct/early Nov), which is fine with me! I like to plan ahead, you know :) And...we found out it's a BOY! I thought I wanted a girl, but as Grace becomes more and more dramatic each day, I'm SUPER excited for a boy :) We talk to Grace a lot about her baby brother and she loves to kiss my tummy and talk about the baby, but mostly she can't wait to "old it!" (Hold it). She might think differently when he comes out and takes up some of mommy's time! We took the opportunity to talk with Grace a little bit about how she didn't grow in mommy's tummy, but rather grew in Betty's (her birthmother). But Betty loved her so much that she gave her to us to take care of! She caught on much quicker than we thought and is quick to mention that God made her and she grew in Betty's tummy!

Ohhhh Grace...amazing how much these kids change in a short amount of time. She is offically 2 now, and it wouldn't take you long to figure that out! She defiantely has a sassy side but overall is super sweet and a great girl. We are working on potty training...it had been going really well and we were almost there, then one day she just got sick of it, I guess so we started over. She does pretty well, but has a hard time knowing when to tell us she has to go. She had an accident last night and when I asked her why she didn't tell me she had to go she said, "I was coloring mommy." She has her priorities, I suppose. She talks 24/7 (and I have NOOOO idea where she gets that :) and we are always amazed at all she catches on to and is aware of. This weekend my mom, Grace and I took a trip to South Dakota to visit family. We visited the cemetary where my grandparents are buried and as we pulled in Grace exclaimed, "HEY! My brother!" Precious moments! Of course, later in the cemetary trip I saw a real live snake for the first time in my life! I threw a fit, sprinted away and abandoned my child! I ran to the cement (as did my mom) and we beckoned back for Grace to follow! Of course, I knew she wasn't in any danger, I just have an irrational fear! Later that day she told me, "Mommy scared nakes?" YES! YES, I AM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) I could go on for days with all the cute things she says and does, but it's best in person! She has a way of grabbing people's hearts and not letting go...quite the charmer! She spent the last few weeks at 2 different Bible School's and LOVES to tell Bible stories and sing songs! Again, precious :)

Seth has been SUPER busy this summer and has far more projects than he can keep up with! We are thankful for that, of course, and pray they keep on coming! I haven't been watching any kids since summer started and will be taking the year off to take care of my own kids (PLURAL, KIDS!!!) BTW: my nerves have recently gone from being worried about being pregnant to, OH CRAP! We're gonna have TWO KIDS!!!!!!!!!! Of course, I'm excited and we're more than ready for the challenge!

Anyway, It's after 11pm, we've been gone all weekend, I'm pregnant and blabbing so I'll cut myself off for now and vow to make an effort to better keep up...looking to Amanda as my inspiration!
